Announcing the 1st Annual
Southern Para Pilots / Tennessee Tree Toppers
Team Challenge
First Ever Paraglider Team Challenge
Join us in the Spectacular Sequatchie Valley
September 30th thru October 6th 2012
This event is focused on providing P2, P3 and P4 pilots a fun learning experience in safe cross country flying and beginning competition skills. Teams will be led by experienced P4 pilots who will guide, coach, and mentor their less experienced P2 and P3 pilots in the discipline of cross country flying. The primary purpose of this event is to encourage and expose P2 pilots to the challenge of flying paragliders cross country in the Sequatchie Valley, one of the best XC areas in the world. Additional opportunities for learning will be provided with nightly presentations by local and national XC PG and HG experts.
Here are some of the things you can expect.
For those of you unfamiliar with the format it will go something like this. Pay $160.00 Show up on the 30th. We will create teams of 5, each team will have at least one "A" pilot, someone with extensive XC experience and experience with competitions. Two or three "B" pilots, will have some XC experience and some fun comp experience. And at least one pilot will be a "C" pilot. This "C" pilot will have all the necessary sign off's but might be a P2 pilot with no XC experience.
If you are a P2 pilot that thinks you are ready for this comp please call us or talk to your instructor before signing up.
Each day a task will be called for each level of pilot, and each team gets more points for getting there "C" and "B" pilots to their respective goals. So if you have ever wanted to receive coaching or strategy advise from more experienced pilots, this will be a great opportunity.
We will post more details as they become available.
